Job SummaryThis is a strategic and analytical position developed to help manage the financial risk on individual deals and the overall casualty book of business across different product lines. It is responsible for assessing the complex financial nature of large accounts and determining appropriate structure and levels of collateral and funding. It also provides analytical support and guidance to different levels of management on complex situations relating to financial and credit risk management.
Complete evaluations and reviews of existing and potential clients' financial condition and credit worthiness, utilizing available systems and resources
Collaborate with the underwriting teams in soliciting and analyzing financial data and assist in understanding complex financial transactions
Prepare collateral reviews and variance analysis for large casualty accounts
Participate in and lead calls and meetings with CFO's of prospective and current clients
Conduct industry and market research and competitive landscape analysis
Review and monitor economic, marketplace, accounting and collateral trends - especially as they relate to our target industries
Act as a liaison with the Global Treasury and Corporate Accounting and Finance teams as relates to collateral, credit, billing and accounting type of issues
Assist in the assessment, review and modification of collateral products and guidelines as appropriate for loss sensitive casualty programs
Provide ad-hoc management and financial reports on the casualty book of business
Analyze complex captive insurance program structures and process transactions
Education & Experience
Bachelors or higher degree in Finance/Accounting.
2 to 5 years of experience and expertise in Financial Statement Analysis and Financial/Credit Risk Management
Prior experience in the Insurance/Risk Management field is a plus.
Prior experience with Moody's CreditLens and S&P Capital IQ is a plus.
Well organized and able to prioritize and handle diverse tasks effectively
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of understanding of financial statements and transactions
Ability to influence without authority.
