Archbishop Carroll High School seeks a Financial Aid/Student Account Specialist. Job Title:Financial Aid/Student Account SpecialistDepartment: Business OfficeReports to:Advancement, Business Office Job SummaryThis job will include posting financial aid and scholarship awards to student account records in TADS, monitoring student account balances, and accounts receivable collections, and monitoring student compliance with school and/or scholarship and financial aid academic performance requirements.Qualifications Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)Bachelor's Degree and a degree in business administration are preferred.Customer service experience.Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Able to perform in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Primary Roles and ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable and Cash ReceiptsAccurately prepare annual school contracts for each student and record amounts in TADS and on the annual master list. Record any cash receipts received at the school and update student account records in TADS Work with accounting personnel to reconcile the TADS database to the general ledger every month.Monitor outstanding receivable balances.Meetings with teams in the business office to provide effective ways to communicate with families and meeting expectations and goals.Financial AidUnder the supervision of the Principal and President, and in accordance with institutional guidelines and regulations, awards financial aid. Manages grants and aid administered by outside organizations, adhering to all grantor regulations and procedures. Counsels and advises parents or guardians about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, indebtedness, money management, and financial planning. Work with families to assist with accumulating the required information so that TADS can evaluate needs determine aid eligibility and individualize information to the particular needs and situation of the student. Answers questions, inquiries, or requests from students, parents, or guardians in person or in writing regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.Research and resolve payment issues with students, parents, or guardians as they occur.Interact with the Archdiocese to ensure that all deadlines for tuition assistance and reimbursement are identified and adhered to with the corresponding paperwork filed accurately and on timeAnalyzes various system-generated reports such as grades and enrollment status to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines; notifies students of changes in eligibility of awards and alternatives to amend the situation.Student Account MaintenanceOrganizes and maintains tuition expenses and aid for each student in multiple formats, including MS Excel TADS Works with the registrar to update the master list and TADS account records for status changesWork with accounting and development personnel to reconcile donor contributions for student aid and scholarships to amounts awarded per the master list. Monitor reports from Serving Our Children and other external scholarship and student aid providers to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data entered across all student records CommunicationPositive attitude and professional demeanor A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a diverse array of individuals both within the school community and with students, parents, guardians, and outside individuals.Serve as a liaison between the administrative and finance departments at the school.
