Electric Records Specialists- Medical Records 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED certificate

Must have working knowledge of office procedures, basic office equipment, computers. Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Health Information Management experience preferred.

Responsiblities: 

Assists in maintaining accurate and up to date Master Patient Index and completion of patient medical records.

Assists with communication to providers for the completion of the incomplete records, as needed.

Analyzes inpatient and outpatient charts to maintain 3 day turnaround, as needed.

Charts are directed to the correct physician for deficiency assignments.

Cross-trains in other medical record sections as assigned by Record Management Supervisor or Director of Medical Records.
