Essential Functions
- Oversee collection counting process and deposits: schedule and supervise volunteer counting teams
- Process accounts payable weekly, including writing checks, recording checks and filing the backup documentation
- Process payroll bi-weekly, including review of timesheets for accuracy, review resulting payroll reports, prepare journal entries
- Process annual 1099's for vendors, submit to IRS and State
- Prepare various cash, financial and payroll reports
- Accountable for parish funds and responsible for meeting deadlines for bill payments and payroll tax payments to avoid penalties and fees
- Assist Finance Manager in the preparation and presentation of annual budgets
- Attend quarterly Finance Council meetings, and quarterly Corporator meetings
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports for Finance Council and Corporators
- Assist with the development and implementation of future Capital Campaigns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- Minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills
