Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Pre-K (2) through 8th grade school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Director of Advancement. The Director of Advancement, who reports directly to the principal, will be responsible for executing a range of duties, including marketing, development, and communications for the school in consultation with the principal.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance fundraising efforts and donor relations.
- Cultivate relationships with current and potential donors, including alumni, parents, and community members.
- Plan and execute fundraising events
- Collaborate with school leadership to identify funding priorities and develop compelling cases for support.
- Manage annual giving campaigns and major gift solicitations.
- Oversee grant research, writing, and reporting processes.
- Maintain donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Create marketing materials and communication pieces to promote fundraising initiatives.
- Engage volunteers and coordinate their involvement in fundraising activities.
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Catholic values and education is preferred.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and databases is a plus.
