Archdiocese of Boston is Hiring an Executive Assistant (FT) Near Braintree, MA

    The Brown-RISD Catholic Community is a ministry of the Diocese of Providence, served by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph, and supported by the Thomas Becket Foundation. It is an ethnically diverse community serving the students at both Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design.
    We are currently seeking a full-time, in-person Executive Assistant to serve the Brown-RISD Catholic Community. This individual will work under the supervision of the Catholic Chaplain for the overall coordination and facilitation of the administrative, marketing, and inventory needs of the Catholic Center.
    Essential duties include:

    • Assistance with fundraising efforts:
      • Creating, assembling, and mailing semesterly newsletters to all benefactors
      • Writing and sending monthly email updates to all benefactors and alumni
      • Printing and assembling tax letters
      • Inputting donations into Salesforce
      • Checking P.O. Box weekly for donations and depositing checks at the bank once processed
      • Liaising with donors when necessary
    • Digital media presence:
      • Updating the Catholic Center calendar on a regular basis
      • Improving and updating the Catholic Center website on a regular basis
      • Maintaining the Catholic Center social media channels (Instagram & Facebook)
      • Taking pictures at major events (Holy Week, special Masses, etc.)
    • Inventory & printing needs
      • Ordering and monitoring supplies for the Catholic Center
      • Preparing packets, programs, and other supplies for retreats, Holy Week, and major events
    • Student-Facing Responsibilities
      • Assisting the chaplain and campus minister in overseeing the Catholic Center’s student leadership
    • Collaborating with students to carry out initiatives and outreach efforts
    • Financial Responsibilities
      • Managing incoming donations and weekly collections
      • Monitoring bank accounts and depositing income at bank on a regular basis
      • Communicating with and managing the compensation of contracted workers and guest speakers
      • Other administrative duties as assigned by the Catholic Chaplain
    • Other requirements & skills:
      • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Understanding and support of the mission of the Catholic Church
      • Familiarity with Salesforce, Mailchimp, and QuickBooks is a plus

    Schedule: This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position. Occasional availability on evenings and weekends (with advance notice) preferable.
