The Maintenance Specialist in a part-time position, 10 hours weekly, to cover our Family of Parishes Campuses and maintain our facilities in a safe and efficient manner. He or she will work under the Maintenance Coordinator following work directions given and to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Overview: Under the direction and supervision of the Pastor and Maintenance Coordinator a Maintenance employee is responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe maintenance, renovation and upkeep of the parish buildings, property, and equipment. This is a part-time position within our three-parish family of parishes, with several small to medium sized buildings per campus. You must be able to travel to different locations. You will have a set schedule and will occasionally have to work a different schedule or on weekends for general maintenance needs in response to emergency situations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with members of the Maintenance Department team to complete assigned work orders and daily routines
Respond to emergency situations as a part of the Maintenance Department team for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns 
Make general repairs to the building and grounds (e.g. painting, hanging shelves, landscaping, etc.)
Assists, or performs solo when needed, general and detailed cleaning of building and grounds; performing a variety of custodial tasks, able to climb ladders and work from heights.
Keep track of and complete daily routine jobs (e.g. cleaning the lunchroom, setting up road signage, etc.)
Operate hand and power tools (e.g. drills, saws, snow throwers, etc.)
Oversees and performs the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan in a timely manner, break-downs are completed on schedule with spaces returned to normal state
Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces
Basic requirements include but are not limited to:
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry
Skill to operate hand and power tools and knowledge of standards for the safe use of equipment
Able to perform a variety of tasks, understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Work on a team and work well as a teammate
Be physically able to meet the significant demands of the job including but not limited to standing or walking for prolonged periods, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, seeing, using ladders
Coordinate jobs/projects based on priority set by Facilities Manage
General Competencies:

Hold a valid driver’s license
