Job Description: Part Time Parish Secretary

Location: Warren, MI, 48092

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in using email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher
• Willingness to learn and use additional software platforms as needed
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Discrete and not gossipy
• Strong commitment to and understanding of the Catholic Church and its practices

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the office manager/ property director and pastor
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails
• Manage and maintain office supplies and equipment
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings and events
• Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents
• Assist with financial record keeping and bookkeeping tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned by .office manager/ property director and pastor

Requirements:

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in an administrative support role preferred at least 3 years ( preferably in the Catholic Church parish office)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
