Position Description:
Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School is a private college preparatory co-educational high school. Our goal is to provide a faith-filled, highly engaging, well-rounded academic experience that allows our students to become critical thinkers and tomorrow’s leaders. Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School seeks an educator to teach 9-12 grade Theology. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a valid Catechesis certification. An ideal candidate would possess strong communication and teaching skills and a willingness to take on extracurricular roles and responsibilities. Qualifications:
A practicing Catholic in good standing with the ChurchCatechesis certificationAdhere to all Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School Administrative RulesEmbrace and implement research-based instructional strategiesEstablish daily classroom routines and conditions that allow ALL students theopportunity to access and make sense of course contentBe flexible and adapt to student and school needsBe organized, reflective, participatory and punctualWork frequently and cooperatively with other team members to continuously improve the instructional programCommunicate with parents on student progress. Evaluate academic and social growth of students, prepare report cards and keep appropriate records to include attendance reports, checklists, census forms and other recordkeeping activities as necessaryEffectively use computers and technology to support instruction and student learningEvaluate and differentiate student progress and aid in adapting individual programs to meet student needsComply with applicable district, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulationsAdhere to all standards established by the Archdiocese of Detroit and the State of MichiganMaintain appropriate licenses and training hours as requiredMust complete the Protecting God’s Children workshop and state requirements for fingerprintingOther tasks as assigned by the PrincipalMethod of Application:
