Director of Finance - St. Angela Merici
Reports to: Pastor and School Principal
Position Summary:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for all finance and accounting functions for St. Angela
Merici. The candidate must be professional, dependable, highly organized, and detail oriented.
Primary Responsibilities:
Finance and Accounting
•Oversee all accounting functions to ensure proper systems and controls
•Ensure proper recording of donations
•Coordinate billing, invoicing, and collection of all payments
•Oversee the accounts payable process
•Assist with fundraising activities including compliance with State and Local licensing and
reporting
•Oversee the accounts payable process
•Prepare monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts
•Oversee the monthly close process
•Review of Parish Organization/Ministries financial process
•Preparation of the annual budget and forecasting for the Parish and School
•Preparation of the materials for quarterly Finance Council Meetings
•Preparation and distribution of annual 1099s
•Other duties as needed by the Pastor and Principal
Human Resources
•Process and record payroll
•Track employee leave records
•Maintain personnel files
Skills and Education Requirements:
•Computer proficiency a must, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
•Experience in QuickBooks accounting software preferred
•Highly organized, detailed oriented person with ability to multi-task
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Committed to the mission of St. Angela Merici and conduct all activities in line with the mission
of the Parish, School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
