Archdiocese of San Antonio is Hiring a Preschool Administrative Assistant Near San Antonio, TX

Employment Status: Full-time*
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, Special Events as needed
Reports to: St. Mark Catholic Preschool Director

SUMMARY
This position will work in conjunction with the Director to assist and support the St. Mark Catholic Preschool Director in all areas pertaining to the pre-school business and operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PRIMARY TASKS
•Develop and maintain student records in a status of compliance with Texas Health and Human Services for admission authorization and admission requirements.
•Maintain office supplies, classroom supplies, cleaning/sanitizing supplies (as approved).
•Help with enrollment and maintenance of student enrollment information and folders.
•Assist with planning and scheduling of special events for classes, staff, and church.
•Assist with arrival and departure of students as needed.
•Assist with duplicating material, posting, correspondence, and program promotion.
•Work in conjunction with Director and St. Mark Evangelist Catholic Church Bookkeeper to maintain program financial records.
•Oversee general office work: telephoning, filing, copying, laminating, mailings, arranging for equipment repair, preparing correspondence, general computer work, etc.
•Appropriately care for sick or injured children.
•Maintain and direct all school activities as needed in the absence of the Director.
WORKING CONDITIONS
•Must be able to work time as scheduled to include but not limited to evening and weekend special events.
•Flexibility to be utilized in all other aspects of the program as requested by the Director.
•Attend workshops for Continuing Education as required by the Archdioceses, State regulations, and State standards including CPR, First Aid, and SIDS training.
•Purchasing school/office supplies requires use of personal vehicle.
•Caring for sick/injured children.
•Maintain environment of confidentiality.
NEEDED ATTRIBUTES
•Skills for developing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships with families, co-workers, etc.
•Effectively work and communicate with young children and adults through strong verbal, written, and electronic means.
•Ability to work with special circumstances such as behavior issues, children with special needs, parental relationships, staff differences.
•Possess a strong work ethic, practices punctuality, and professionalism.
•Must agree to background check and credit check
•Flexibility.
•Ability to multi-task.
•Collaborate with colleagues to create a professional environment of teamwork and cooperation.
•Positive attitude and enthusiastically promote St. Mark Catholic Preschool.
Requirements
SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Must be 18 years of age or older.
•Must have a high school diploma or GED.
•Must have at least 2 years of experience in the child care field.
•Must have valid and unexpired drivers license and insurance.
•Proficient computer and administrative skills required.
•Office Experience required.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
•St. Mark Catholic Preschool Director and other St. Mark Catholic Preschool staff
•St. Mark Evangelist Catholic Church bookkeeper and other members of the church and staff
•Communicate and interact effectively parents and children enrolled in the program
•Communicate with Texas Health and Human Services
