Saint Nicholas Catholic School in Gig Harbor seeks a detail oriented and committed K-8 Extended Care Aide, starting the 2024-25 school year. St. Nicholas School is a Preschool thru 8th grade Catholic school residing on the grounds and fully in partnership with the Saint Nicholas Parish community. REPORTS TO: School Principal
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Hourly
WORK SCHEDULE: 16 hr/week based on school calendar
BENEFITS: This position is part time and not benefits eligible
PAY: $17.85/hour
I. POSITION PURPOSE Create a positive, energetic and engaging Extended Care environment for our school community.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Plans a variety of activities
• Creates a fun and engaging environment for students
• Helps with the general housekeeping tasks
• Interacts in a professional manner and attitude with students and families
• Treats all students with dignity and respect
• Maintains a neat and organized space
• Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times
• Works with other staff members to form a positive and supportive team atmosphere

III. REQUIREMENTS

• Loves working with kids
• A warm and friendly personality, sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and relates well to students
• At least eighteen (18) years of age
• Clear a Washington State Background Check
• Complete the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Training

IV. SCHEDULE

• M, T, Th, F 3:00pm-6:00pm (or when last student leaves)
• W 2:00pm-6:00pm (or when last student leaves)
