Archdiocese of Seattle is Hiring a Regional Director of Facilities Near Bellingham, WA
To ensure the proper maintenance and improvement of the campuses and buildings owned by “Family 2” of the Archdiocese of Seattle (the Whatcom County Catholic Churches).
ResponsibilitiesGeneral
- Carries out the mission of Christ according to the dictates of the Catholic Church, within the areas of Family responsibility, guided by the vision of the Family pastor.
- Participates in staff activities, including staff meetings, as requested by the pastor.
- Works to stay current in knowledge and skills related to job responsibilities.
- Supervises all Family maintenance and custodial employees.
- Interfaces with all Family maintenance and custodial contractors, or delegates this interfacing.
Within The Area Of Maintenance, Employee – Either Directly, Through Delegation To Other Staff, Or Through Volunteer Coordination – Is Responsible For Family Activity In The Following Areas:
- Grounds upkeep and building custodial
- Compliance with all local laws and Archdiocesan policies regarding grounds and building safety, building codes, etc.
- Creation and execution of a maintenance schedule
- Especially regular inspection of Family facilities and subsystems (HVAC, fire safety, rainwater control, electrical, etc.
- Especially hiring and interfacing with necessary contractors
Within The Area Of Facility Repair And Improvement, Employee – Either Directly, Through Employee Delegation, Or Through Volunteer Coordination – Is Responsible For Family Activity In The Following Areas:
- Repair of damaged and broken aspects of buildings and grounds
- Creation and updating of a prioritized list of necessary and soon-to-be-necessary campus and building improvements
- Interfacing with contractors, including:
- Scoping projects, obtaining bids, and working with the Archdiocese to sign contracts.
- Serving as Family project manager on contracted projects.
Within The Area Of Parish Security, Employee – Either Directly, Through Employee Delegation, Or Through Volunteer Coordination – Is Responsible For Family Activity In The Following Areas:
- Oversight of the Family volunteer security ministry
- Removal of transients, abandoned vehicles, and other threats to campus safety from Family campuses
- Review of security footage and submitting police reports after campus incidents
- Interfacing with fire and law enforcement when necessary
