Archetype Permanent Solutions is Hiring a Metallurgist Near Conway, SC

As a Metallurgist, you will play a vital role in developing and optimizing our amorphous metal ribbon manufacturing processes. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the highest quality standards and drive continuous improvement in our materials and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for the production of amorphous metal ribbon.
  • Conduct metallurgical testing and analysis to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct research and development to innovate and improve amorphous metal ribbon properties and manufacturing techniques.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production staff and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes, tests, and results.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and commercialization efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with amorphous metals or advanced materials.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and materials science.
  • Experience with metallurgical testing and analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes for amorphous metals or similar materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficient in the use of metallurgical lab equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Background in Metallurgy.
