Neonatology Opening in Mishawaka, IN South Bend 5m, Chicago, IL 105m Full-time Hospital Employed Schedule - 7 on/7 off, 24-hour shifts. Physician is generally available on site during normal daytime hours, and available from home the remainder of the shift. Join one other Neonatologist and a crew of NNPs. PRN Neonatologists are available when needed. We have a 24/7 Ob/Gyn Laborist program in place; one Maternal Fetal Medicine physician on staff; and one Pediatric Hospitalist on during the day. The average census is ten; up from three a year ago. Average births per year are 2,000, and continued growth is expected. We have a Level III NICU with 12 private beds. The unit is pro-breast feeding, baby friendly. Our philosophy is a hands-off approach, intervention only when necessary.
