Arcosa Marine Components is searching for a safety-oriented Field Service Specialist located at our Bossier City, LA plant. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for field service activities. This position will work with our sales team to grow revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is part of Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group, and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive a proactive approach to solving problems at customers' facilities
- Partner with sales to react to customer requests and increase customer satisfaction levels
- Schedule field service and commissioning direct with customers
- Ensure that internal processes and metrics are aligned to create highest customer service and profitability
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Support plant(s) as necessary with quality issues, problem solving, and lessons learned while driving consistent improvements
- Ensure communication between operations & customers to ensure the delivery of the best product
- Travel without restriction to customer job sites across the US and perform service work
What You’ll Need:
- 1 year industrial experience in field service, assembly, and rotating equipment. Experience in the inland marine market preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and internal teams
- TWIC card holder or ability to obtain TWIC card shortly after starting.
- Must have a clean MVR (motor vehicle record check)
- Able to work effectively in a hot or cold environment while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects
