Job Description:

Arcosa Aggregates Texas Region LLC is searching for a Regional Sales Manager. The Texas Region consists of aggregate operations in the state of Texas. In this role, you will have primary responsibility for organic business development, developing and executing targeted commercial plans, monitoring market demand and other key business indicators, leading revenue and margin growth, optimizing product price management, establishing annual sales budgets, leading the region’s sales team, and leveraging commercial opportunities for Arcosa’s construction aggregate materials business within the region. This role also manages the commercial elements of Arcosa’s aggregates business in Texas, which includes negotiating contracts with customers, forecasting revenues, and optimizing top-line results in conjunction with the operational teams. This role will be located in Ferris, Texas.

What you'll do:

Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through observation and team input. Personally participate and ensure the Texas Sales Team participates in relevant components of the ARC100 safety program across all Texas operations. Ensure adherence for self and team to all Health & Safety policies and best practices.

Drives Results of The Sales Team 

  • Develops Annual Sales Budget
  • Sets and manages performance vs. annual goals/results for Sales Team (sales volume, pricing, DSO, etc…)
  • Leads Performance Management Process for Sales Team
  • Facilitates weekly Sales Team Meetings
  • Attends customer meetings with Sales Reps (primarily to coach & provide feedback on reps’ performance)
  • Maintains Customer relationships (at the right level within customer’s organization)
  • Set pricing ranges/limits, reviews and approves job quotes
  • Leads Talent Management: Hires, disciplines, & fires as needed. 
  • Leads ongoing training and development of sales team

 Develops & Leads Execution of Market Strategies & Action Plans

  • Develops and updates Strategic overview of market
  • Contributes to completion of Regional Strategic Plan
  • Develops and leads execution of annual sales action plan (linked to budgets)
  • Identifies / analyzes new opportunities
  • Maintains critical market data & authors Key Sales Reports
  • Monitors Economic indicators and market growth/trends

Effectively Engages with Cross-functional Leadership 

  • Active member of Regional Leadership team (team mtgs, planning discussions, market reviews, etc), works effectively with other cross-functional leaders
  • Leads review of revenue-related results for tied to monthly financial results
  • Leads sales forecasting process for the region
  • Liaison with Corporate Communication group
  • Succession candidate for GM roles

Primary Participant in Industry/Community Associations

  • Participates in industry Association Boards/Committees
  • Enlists relevant participation from sales team with these organizations

What you'll need:

  • BS in business management, construction management, engineering or related field, MBA a plus.
  • Sales team leadership experience a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of sales and/ or sales experience in the aggregate industry (Sales Representative or similar role).
