Job Title: MedSurg Nurse Manager

Salary: $56.12 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Variable Shifts

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg Nurse Manager to lead our dynamic team. This position requires a dedicated and skilled professional with a strong clinical background in medical-surgical nursing. Job Description:

As the MedSurg Nurse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the MedSurg unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficiency. You will be responsible for staff management, training, and development, as well as implementing policies and procedures that promote optimal patient outcomes and workplace efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the MedSurg unit, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and the highest standards of nursing care.
• Supervise and mentor MedSurg staff, promoting continuous professional development and education.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality and efficiency within the unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
• Manage staffing schedules, patient flow, and resource allocation effectively.
• Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the MedSurg department.
• Handle administrative duties such as budgeting, reporting, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSN required; MSN or MA in Nursing, or current enrollment with graduation expected within 2 years from hire.
• Minimum of three (3) years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Current NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as a MedSurg Educator.
• At least three (3) years of management or supervisory experience in a MedSurg setting.
• National certification in clinical or leadership area strongly preferred.
