Responsibilities

* Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.

* Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.

* Responsible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures and vaginal deliveries while applying principles of sterile technique.

* Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

* Take call (30-minute response time).

Qualifications

Job Requirements

* Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.

* NBSTSA Certified Surgical Tech (for Certified only - upon hire)

* Active Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Job Requirements

* One year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech experience or three years of Operating Room experience
