Pack Operator - Sanitation

• 1st Shift (8 hours, Monday-Friday)
• $5,000 First Year Sign-on Bonus

Your role :

As a Pack Operator / Sanitation, you will be responsible for maintaining the sanitary condition of the facility and to be skilled up in 2 operating positions in the plant to build bench strength and to fill in for those positions when vacant for various reasons.

Your responsibilities :

• Routine cleaning of floors, equipment, scoops and brushes used in production, and outside grounds and in all departments where there is a need.
• Basic process maintenance.
• Get cross-trained in at least two different operator jobs.
• Responsible for understanding and following all personnel and equipment safety policies; Sanitation policies; following all policies and procedures.
• Special duties assigned by management.

Essential skills and experience :

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in computer tools including email and spreadsheets.
• Proficient in English both written and verbally.

Good to have :

At least one year of manufacturing or plant operations experience.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation) :

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)
• Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include :
• Heat / Cold temperatures (inclement weather)
• Indoor / Outdoor environment
• Dusty environment
• Noisy environment
• Frequent moving / vibration / or other motion of equipment / processes
• Must be able to work in elevated placed. Must be able to operate a Genie lift and a one-man lift. Cannot be afraid of heights.
• Must pass a physical abilities testwith or without reasonable accommodation with the ability to :
• Frequently stand, walk, rotate,bend / stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance and reachor lift at shoulder level,above shoulder level,and below shoulder level
• Frequentlyclimb stairs and / or ladders
• Frequently lift / shovel / carry up to50pounds
• Frequently push / pull / torque up to 75 pounds of force

Other Considerations :

You must be willing to work alongside your team including long days, on rotating or varying shifts (days, evenings, and nights) as well as overtime, weekend or holiday work.

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
