Job Summary :

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our retail team for 18-32 hours / week.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

This role involves assisting customers, driving sales, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

• Customer Service : Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Sales : Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products. Meet or exceed sales goals and targets.
• Product Knowledge : Maintain a strong understanding of our products and services. Stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and sales events.
• Merchandising : Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Assist in setting up displays and promotional materials.
• Cash Handling : Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely.
• Inventory Management : Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise. Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
• Store Maintenance : Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers. Assist in daily store opening and closing procedures.
• Team Collaboration : Work effectively with team members and management to achieve store goals. Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
• All other duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

• Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Persuasion - Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.
• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Education and Experience :

High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the sales floor for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform other physical activities as needed.
