The Skills
- US Citizenship with DoD Secret Clearance: Essential for accessing sensitive federal data.
- Active Certifications: A , Network CE, Security CE, CASP, GSEC, GSLC, CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CISA to validate expertise.
- 3 years in Systems Administration/Engineering: Proven experience to handle complex system management tasks.
- Agile Environment Experience: Ability to adapt and thrive in fast-moving settings.
- Cyber Security Tools: Proficiency with FireEye HX, Cisco Threat Grid, Stealthwatch, Teramind, Exabeam, AWS CloudWatch, Swimlane, Tenable, Malware, MISP, and Splunk to manage and analyze security systems.
- Scripting Languages: Competence in JavaScript, Python, Perl, Groovy, Rudy, Bash, and PowerShell for automation and customization tasks.
- MITRE ATT&CK Framework: Experience implementing this framework for advanced threat detection.
- Splunk Expertise: Skilled in writing queries and creating dashboards for data analysis.
- Information Security Devices and Applications: Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security management tools.

- Familiarize with Aretec's cybersecurity tools and systems.
- Participate in initial training sessions on internal processes and client requirements.
- Begin documentation of current system configurations and security protocols.
60 Days
- Take over daily maintenance and operation of security applications.
- Start contributing to system administration using configuration management tools.
- Assist in the development and deployment of new security intelligence tools.
90 Days
- Lead the tuning and optimization of signature sets to enhance system accuracy.
- Provide comprehensive system administration support and incident response.
- Deliver regular updates and situational briefings to client leaders.
