About the Opportunity

The Certified Dental Technician will join our Digital Manufacturing Center and will serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring the highest quality standards for our dental products. This role requires a deep understanding of fixed, removable, and implant dentistry, including porcelain application, and involves working closely with various teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Serves as the voice of the customer and sets the quality standard for the Argen Digital Manufacturing Center.
  • Provides strong guidance and expertise on fixed, removable and implant dentistry with knowledge of porcelain application.
  • Serves as an escalation point for quality concerns and works with team leads to address customer feedback.
  • Educates employees without dental background on critical quality components of dental restorations.
  • Uses common computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
  • Collaborates with engineers to establish standard operating procedures and work instructions for the Argen Digital Manufacturing Center.
  • Effectively communicates with quality, manufacturing associates, and customer facing team members.
  • Collaborates with Business Development team on new products coming to the manufacturing workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be successful?

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required; accredited two-to-four-year college degree or certificate highly desirable.
  • Completion of a dental-related training program and certificate highly desirable.
  • Current CDT accreditation strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in analog dental technology.
  • 5 years of experience in digital dentistry, including designing and additive/subtractive manufacturing.
  • Expertise in multiple disciplines of dental technology preferred.
  • Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision, and arm-hand steadiness.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient in writing clear and comprehensive documentation for quality control processes.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and identify issues in the manufacturing workflow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior technicians, guiding their professional growth.
  • Driven to seek continual professional improvement.
  • Understanding of LEAN workflows and concepts preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training. 
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
