POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Medical Sales Director & Region Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales strategy and execution for the region. This hybrid role combines high-level strategic responsibilities with hands-on regional management to drive sales growth and achieve targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in medical sales, and a proven track record in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.

essential functions (ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES):

Strategic Leadership

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company objectives and drive revenue growth.

2. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.

3. Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales targets and forecast revenue for the region.

4. Create and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximization of ROI.

5. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, hospital administrators, and industry partners.

 

Regional Sales Management

1. Oversee and manage the performance of the regional sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team goals.

2. Recruit, train, and develop sales representatives, ensuring a high level of product knowledge and sales expertise.

3. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.

4. Monitor and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and progress toward targets.

5. Develop and execute regional marketing and promotional activities in coordination with the marketing team.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts within the region.

2. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

3. Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure seamless post-sales support and issue resolution.

 

Product Knowledge and Training:

1. Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in the medical industry and product offerings.

2. Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team on product features, benefits, and best practices.

3. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events, showcasing products and generating leads.

qualifications:

Experience

1. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in medical sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

2. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

3. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Competencies:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA is advantageous.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel

Travel as needed throughout the Region.

The role may involve attending patient care settings to provide product support and demonstrations.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet customer requirements.
