Arhaus Recruiting is Hiring a TB Payroll Administrator Near Conover, NC

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurately processing payroll information into the payroll system and processing an accurate weekly payroll in accordance with the Department of Labor standards and guidelines and other state or federal regulatory bodies. As the owner of the payroll database, the Payroll Administrator will utilize existing reports and create ad-hoc reports as necessary to perform the necessary audits and reconciliations associated with all aspects of payroll processing and reporting.

In addition, the Payroll Administrator is considered a subject matter expert in the Department of Labor standards as related to payroll processing and administration of PTO benefits for exempt and non-exempt employees.

Key fundamental skill sets for this role will be:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of regular, piece-rate, day-work, flat-rate, and supplemental payrolls (periodic bonuses), including time and attendance data and reconciling variances, resolving errors.
  • Scans production tickets daily, in addition to developing weekly piece work reports.
  • Partner with HR department to review timecards and ERP system reports to ensure accuracy and make corrections with the supervisors.
  • Resolve all payroll reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with HR department on payroll changes and updates.
  • Perform reconciliation of payroll prior to submission for processing.
  • Assists with labor rate costing, Ad hoc reporting, payroll journal entries and other duties assigned as required.
  • Quarterly review of payroll reports, and calculating average pay weekly reports required by payroll processor and state regulatory bodies etc.
  • Supporting the external audit process, including preparing source documents for audit review.
  • Perform routine pre- and post-payroll processing audits and reporting to include but not limited to deduction and contribution reporting.
  • Cross-training in other departmental duties to provide relief as necessary, including accounting functions as directed by the Accounting Manager.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential matters including employee information, while also protecting the security of information, data, and files.
  • Audits employee tax documents to ensure compliance with tax registration and reporting requirements.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the general ledger for all payroll related accounts.
