Arion Care Solutions, LLC is Hiring a Bilingual Habilitation Support Specialist -- Greater Phoenix Metro Area Near Phoenix, AZ

PURPOSE:

The Bilingual Habilitation Support Specialist will provide consultative services to individuals and their families receiving habilitation. The Bilingual Habilitation Support Specialist will be part of a collaborative team consisting of parents and/or caregivers, habilitation providers, support coordinator, and Area Managers/Supervisors. The Bilingual Habilitation Support Specialist will provide direct support to members and/or their families, in their own homes, zoom and community settings in compliance with all regulations and policies related to Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and
other regulatory agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years' experience providing habilitation direct support services or equivalent
  • Bilingual - Spanish & English a MUST
  • Confident written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in both English & Spanish
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to work with Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management skills
  • Highly motivated, self-driven professional
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Able to acquire a DPS fingerprint clearance card.
  • Some commuting required (as needed).

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, special education, child development, psychology,
    behavior analysis, social work, or counseling in addition to two (2) years of full-time experience in habilitation services, behavioral therapy, or behavior analysis
  • Classroom training experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

*** Must feel Comfortable with presenting in a classroom setting and using technology to support that training ***

  • Teach habilitation training classes at various ACS office locations and/or via Zoom.
  • Quarterly oversight and training of habilitation providers, as well as parents/caregivers related to habilitation goal progress and implementation.
  • Assist in acquiring, retaining, and improving the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings.
  • Model programs with the member in independent living skills or self-help, socialization, adaptive skills and behavioral management.
  • Assist with ISP preparation, planning, and attendance including all follow up operations such as habilitation goal writing.
  • Coach habilitation providers and parents/caregivers in implementing habilitation program goals and the teaching of target skills as intended through the designated teaching strategies.
  • Review data on each program goal, as needed.
  • Collaborate with habilitation provider, parents and area manager/supervisor to ensure effective implementation of habilitation goals and strategies.
  • Services must be provided one-on-one in the home, zoom or community based on goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EQUIPMENT NORMALY USED:

  • Telephone and FAX machines.
  • Computer and internet, printer, copier
  • Requires the use of vehicle.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to physically assist members as needed including lifting/transferring up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, kneel, stand and bend in order to assist members with activities of daily living
  • Patience; Ability to exercise restraint and self-control in potentially high stress, challenging situations
  • Ability to quickly respond to health, safety and emergency situations
  • Ability to effectively execute all positions highlighted in Prevention and Support Training

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates as a remote tele-work position, as Arion Care Solutions does not provide a
separate workplace at a corporate location. Working from home requires a high degree of
discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home and provision for
childcare, if appropriate.
