This individual will be skilled at working with program partners to identify skills gaps, developing training solutions, and implementing evaluation tools to measure effectiveness. This position is critical to the Learning and Development program as it is responsible to assess employee training and development needs agency wide. Training responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Conducting team member onboarding, consulting with program partners to identify and remediate performance gaps, design and develop courses, support internal customers with the TraCorp learning management system, track and increase training compliance, drive agency values and culture through all training and development activities, coordinate and administer course implementations and assess learner outcomes. This position is responsible to coordinate, monitor, and report on National Incident Management System training required by the agency. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.The State of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility, autonomy, and trust. Design, develop and deliver instructor-led (in-person and virtual) and eLearning training programs with all levels of staff within the agency. Ensure that all electronic trainings are available and functioning as needed. Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs.
Coordinate training related activities to include manage training rooms, design appropriate communications and announcements regarding scheduled trainings, track and record attendance and various program completions in TraCorp and other tracking systems, provide reports regarding program attendance/completion as needed. Leverage existing technology and resources to connect appropriate learning opportunities with other state and governmental agencies, academic, community and association partners for agency staff development.
Responsible, as part of a team, for the research, development, and maintenance of the Agency's training and academy curricula. Includes developing and maintaining online classroom frameworks (e.g. Google Classroom and Communities of Practice).
Conducts pilots of approved courses and participates in curriculum development team meetings and focus groups.
