AzOPT seeks Physical Therapy Clinic Manager for growing practice.

AzOPT does not pack our physical therapists’ schedule by using techs to guide our patients’ experience. Therefore, our physical therapists spend more time with each patient utilizing techniques proven to work faster.

Reports to: Practice Manager, Orthopedic Director and/or Board of Directors

Employment Status: Full Time, Exempt

Work Schedule: May Vary. Hours between 7 am – 7 pm Monday thru Thursday and 7 am – 5 pm Friday. After office-hours marketing and event participation required.

Position Summary

The Clinic Manager is to manage and supervise the operational and administrative functions, activities, and projects of an AzOPT clinic. Responsibilities include managing, planning and coordinating operations of the clinic to include, but not limited to: supervising all clinic staff, monitoring delivery of patient services, and acting as liaison with patients, staff, physicians, insurance companies and other AzOPT departments, locations and leaders. The Clinic Manager is expected to serve in the dual role of Clinic Manager and practicing Physical Therapist.

Clinic Manager Accountabilities:

  • Monitor delivery of patient services to include reviewing patient activity data and forecast and prepare for all changes needed or impacted by patient load, staffing levels, government regulations and policies.
  • Must be current with all payer requirements and policies.
  • In conjunction with HR, recruit, supervise, and direct all staff to ensure the clinic operates in an efficient manner and that the patients receive high quality customer service.
  • Complete various special projects, which may require reviewing and analyzing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions and writing reports.
  • Review internal policies and procedures and update as needed.
  • Function as the clinic liaison with patients, physicians, hospitals and other AzOPT leaders and departments.
  • Approve all physical therapy PTO, account for coverage needs and in general do what is necessary to maintain high customer service.
  • Be comfortable handling all customer, staff and professional complaints.
  • Review, guide, educate and correct staff therapist’s charges.
  • Perform annual reviews of the clinic staff.
  • Coordinate on a weekly up to daily basis with the billing department, office manager and board of directors.
  • Guide and direct patient schedules.
  • Mentor staff physical therapists
  • Monitor / control clinic expenses
  • Monitor, discuss and control any and all issues that arise in the clinic.
  • Develop and run meaningful staff meetings.
  • Encourage front desk and physical therapists relationships.

Physical Therapist Accountabilities:

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement patient care programs that assist patients in reaching their optimal level of function.
  • Provide documentation, progress reports, and discharge reports using online web EMR software.
  • Understand and treat each patient’s individual needs while educating about their condition and creating home exercise programs.
  • Must have a passion for manual therapy along with a more hands-on approach.
  • May be asked to attend events, training seminars, and other workshops designed to better educate the community and the therapist through AZOPT’s community outreach.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
