Job Description

Financial Services seeks an Accounting Specialist to perform accounting and customer service

functions requiring initiative and independent judgement in support of the goals and objectives

of Financial Services. This position is part of the ASU Payables and Reimbursements

department.

We offer our employees partially remote work after the training period is complete.

The successful candidate, not presently employed within Financial Services, will be paid a signing bonus of $750 and a $1,250 bonus after completing six months of employment with the department.

Salary Range

$20.41 per hour.

Essential Duties

  • Efficiently process invoices through ASU’s financial management system.
  • Audit invoices to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare recurring reports.
  • Provide customer service duties to aid departments and suppliers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field AND one (1) year of related experience; OR,Three (3) years related accounting experience; OR,Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in using Workday.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service.
  • Evidence of effective communications skills.
  • Experience using Adobe and standard Microsoft applications; Excel, Word and Outlook.

Working Environment

  • Work in an office setting and use office equipment (i.e. computers, printers, copiers, calculators, telephones)
  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Read-interpret written and oral instructions/directions.
  • May require lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
