PT - Coordinator/Instructor, Logistics Program

Salary:
$28.00 per hour

Summary of Function:
Supports the Logistics program instruction, activities, promotion, marketing, recruitment, and adequate standards of practice.

Typical Duties:

  • Serves Students. Responsible for preparing and providing instruction for the Logistics program.
  • Provides program oversight with Associate Dean to oversee logistics program.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of networking and employment opportunities across the college-serving district and the state to provide career development for students in the program.
  • Coordinates with potential employers to offer internships for students in the program.
  • Answers inquiries, promotes, and recruits students for the program.
  • Maintains student and program files under FERPA and other guidelines.
  • Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND two years of experience working in Logistics or related field OR Associates degree AND three years of experience working in Logistics or related field

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

  • Hold and maintain an Arizona Driver’s License

Classification:

  • Non-Exempt

Position Type & Work Schedule:

  • Part-time
  • Up to 19 hours per week
  • Work flexible schedule to meet the program, department, and/or institutional needs, which may include Fridays, nights, and/or weekends

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of and ability to effectively utilize instructional technologies and learning platforms including learning management system
  • Skill and ability in planning and delivering engaging and effective instruction
  • Skill in current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software,
    specifically Microsoft Office applications, Windows
  • Skill in managing one’s own time
  • Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development
  • Ability to organize, work independently, prioritize, follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion, with close attention to detail
  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to provide assistance for diverse populations in a professional and supportive manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, in writing, and in a public setting, and to relate to others in a
    professional manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and take appropriate actions to resolve problems using
    independent judgment and decision-making processes
  • Ability to address and resolve issues related to teaching and student learning
  • Ability to efficiently manage time to balance teaching, preparation, and administrative duties
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and promote an inclusive learning environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working and collaborative relationships with other department staff,
    faculty, students and the public

Work Environment:

  • Inside office environment with normal noise and lighting levels
  • Work is performed in an open office environment with staff contact and interruptions
  • Working environment may include various locations across the service district, indoor and/or outdoor
    locations as needed to support program, department or institutional needs


Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • May lift, carry, push, and/or pull, at times a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or twist

Travel:

  • May be required to travel to other locations using various modes of private, commercial, or fleet transportation,
    and as needed to support program, department and institutional needs

Note:

  • South Yuma County
  • Not Benefits Eligible
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle to support travel
