Duties & Responsibilities:

·Necropsy Service

oDirects and conducts necropsy examinations on all species, including gross examination, histopathology, interpreting results of ancillary testing and writing reports of results.

oCase coordination

·Biopsy service

oConducts histopathologic examination of surgical biopsy specimens from all species.

·Collaborates with internal other pathologists/section heads,histotechnicians, cytologists, and all other departments as appropriate to incorporate as appropriate new practices and approaches for varied and complex cases as they arrive for determination.

·Consultation with colleagues, practitioners, shelters, law enforcement and local, state or federal agencies

·Communicating with clients orally and in writing with clients and stakeholders

·Writing and interpreting test results

·Participation in the Quality Management system

·Additional duties may be assigned
