Account management consisting of:
Prepares monthly financial reports and provides accounting support for assigned group of faculty, which include federal and non-federal research grants, contracts, gifts, departmental state and designated accounts.
Reviews accounts on a monthly basis for new account, accounts ending and accounts in deficit.
Prepares intricate journal entries and detailed cost accounting information to analyze and identify inaccurate transactions on assigned accounts. Investigates and prepares appropriate transactions to correct errors. Acts as a liaison between PIs and the University to communicate and resolve any issues that arise concerning expenditures.
Provides projections on spending to PI on accounts as requested.
Reconciles cost-share accounts and makes cost-sharing adjustments to reflect appropriate labor distribution or related cost-sharing obligations. Ensures payroll distribution is accurate for faculty, graduate students, fellows and support staff on a bi-weekly basis
Reviews and approves daily transactions to ensure accuracy within University, Federal and Non-Federal regulations. Conducts thorough review of all award terms and conditions to ensure compliance
Process GECs and SETs
Process backstops and initiates subaward paperwork based on award documentation.
Process stipends and external awards
Process Graduate stipends and waivers.
Assists in proposal submissions for faculty who apply for internal funding, including budget and budget justifications.
Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge of Federal, non-Federal grant and contract regulations, with an emphasis on proposal guidelines and systems along with UA’s policies and procedures.
