- Developing quantum methods for optical sensing.
- Performing the mathematical analysis of quantum optical sensing methods.
- Conducting numerical evaluations of quantum optical sensing methods using Wolfram Mathematica and MATLAB software.
- Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in quantum informationprocessing methods.
- Prepare technical documentation and scientific manuscripts.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated skills on Wolfram Mathematica and MATLAB software platforms and programming languages.
- Knowledge of quantum optics, including bosonic models, Gaussian quantum systems, symplectic algebra, master equations.
- Knowledge of quantum and classical informationtheory.
- Knowledge of quantum sensing and estimation methods, including the development of quantum measurement protocols that achieve quantum Cramer-Rao bound.
- Experience in writing scientific papers and generating conference presentations.
