Duties & Responsibilities

·Serve as the pathology Section Head.

·Supervise technicians in histology, cytology and necropsy.

·Case Coordination.

·Consults with the laboratory Director on subjects related to the pathology service.

·Necropsy Rotation.

·Biopsy Rotation.

·Serves on the laboratory quality assurance committee.

·Communication with clients, collogues and stakeholders.

·Consultation on complex cases with colleagues, practitioners, stakeholders, shelters, law enforcement and local, state or federal agencies.

·Reporting results.

·Writing and interpreting testing results.

·Additional duties as assigned.

·Strong understanding of client needs.

·Demonstrated success in assuming responsibility including participation and follow-through with the quality management system.
