ARK Behavioral Health is Hiring a Full Time Nurse Practitioner SUD / Addiction Recovery Near Van, OH

We are looking for a Full Time Medical Nurse Practitioner at our Ohio Recovery Center in Van Wert, OH.Hourly Wage $75.00 Schedule 40 hrs. a week. 4 Days per week - 8 AM - 6 PM.The Nurse Practitioner assists the Medical Director with assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care at our substance abuse treatment facility. Responsibilities
Preforms Initial History and Physicals, intermittent medical assessments
Recommend and/or orders medical interventions such as appropriate laboratory work, diagnostic imaging studies (X Rays, CT scans, MRI, etc.) medications and protocols for detoxification
Completes required documentation in a timely manner such as admission assessment, history and physical examination, intermittent assessments and recommendations and patient discharge summaries
Assesses the physiological and behavioral health status and assesses the psychosocial health status of the adult patient
Completes initial assessments and develops the plan of care. Assists in the development of treatment plans and nursing care plans for patients and provides nursing care consistent with the treatment plans
Interacts with patients, counseling staff, clinical dietician, psychiatrist, medical director, other nurse practitioner(s) and other members of the interdisciplinary care team in such a manner that promotes a high standard of care
Participates in the delivery of individualized patient care following approved procedures as warranted
Functions under the direct supervision of the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care, Standards of Practice for Registered Professional Nurse as directed by the State Board of Nursing, Nursing Service and Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures
Determines mobility needs to assist with fall prevention and the determination of assistive device needed
Verifies the physicians orders
Recognizes, reports and acts upon reports of deviation in diagnostic studies
Identifies patient problems based on data related to the adult and adolescent health status
Identifies patient problems pertinent to medical diagnostic impression. Completes history & physical examination on all new admissions within a predetermined timeframe based on compliance regulations and follow up evaluations as indicated
Completes in-service training for nursing staff as it pertains to the medical needs of our patient population
All other tasks as assigned by management of their designee
Requirements
Knowledge of facility policies, procedures and safety standards, management concepts and techniques and of current JCAHO, Federal and state standards
Knowledge of Medical records administration and management information systems
Medical Health care diagnoses and terminology, detoxification procedures, the diseases of addiction and substance abuse disorder, co-occurring disorders, DSM criteria and terminology
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations, has good listening skills, asks for clarification appropriately, responds well to questions, demonstrates group presentations skills and appropriately participates in meetings
Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively and edit work for spelling and grammar
Qualifications
5 years experience in Substance Abuse
Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and have a Master's degree in Nursing
Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner License
