ARK Products is Hiring a Product Designer Near Columbia, SC

Job description

As a Product Designer at ARK Products, you will play a crucial role in the development andenhancement of our product portfolio. You will work closely with the ProductDevelopment Team and Manufacturing to conceptualize, design, and bring tomarket innovative products that drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

·Collaboratewith the Product Development Team to understand project requirements, objectives,and constraints.
·Present product ideas to relevant team membersfor brainstorming
·Produce artistic and creative sketches/rendersof advanced industrial design concepts·Utilize CADsoftware (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed designs andtechnical drawings.·Create andPrint 3D product prototypes that are both non-functional and working toevaluate their practicality. ·Work closelywith Manufacturing and Quality to ensure designs are feasible for productionand meet safety standards.·Develop andmaintain documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions,and Bill of Materials (BOM).·Participate indesign reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.·Adhere toproject timelines and budgetary constraints, ensuring deliverables arecompleted on schedule and within scope.·Serve as the primary point of contact forexternal manufacturing partners, fostering strong relationships, and ensuringclear communication 
channels are established and maintained.

Requirements

Qualifications

·Provenexperience in product design and development. Experience with Medical, Children's and Special Needs products is a plus.·Proficiency inCAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and other design tools.·Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate conceptualideas into practical designs.·Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively incross-functional teams.·Knowledge ofmanufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.·Familiaritywith regulatory standards and requirements related to product design anddevelopment.·Ability tomanage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.·Experience withrapid prototyping and/or 3D printing technologies is a plus.
