POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the supervision of the general accounting functions for the Finance Division. The Manager plans, coordinates and manages day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and month end closing.
The Accounting Manager is a member of the Finance Operations team and collaborates with the other functional teams (Sales Operations, Engineering, Materials & HR) on executing company strategies and the work unit planned processes. The Senior Accountant is also expected to work cooperatively with customers both outside and inside the organization as well as suppliers. They are expected to support, develop and to implement processes and metrics in all areas of finance operations including but not limited to: lean, 6S, workplace safety, on boarding and training. In addition, this person must demonstrate hands-on leadership in unison with the Director of Finance Operations on implementing strong cultural beliefs and values throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides day-to-day supervision of accounting and finance functions for the division, including but
  not limited to the following:
• Prepare monthly financial close (journal entries, account reviews, reconciliations, inter-company
  accounting, etc.), financial statements and supporting
  schedules
• Daily, monthly and annual management reporting
• Development of ad hoc reporting as required by management and/or corporate
• Prepare regular cash flow and operating forecasts throughout the year
• Perform variance analysis of results compared to budget, prior year, and regular forecasts on
  summary and / or detailed level
• Perform margin analysis by part / product line / customer and make suggestions for improvement in
  all areas
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit & collections
• Ensure compliance with applicable sales and use taxes as well as assist in preparation of annual
  income tax packages
• Delegates appropriate responsibilities and authority to area team members
• Plans, assigns, and evaluates job tasks
• Prepares, reviews and maintains all accounting functions
• Assist with preparation of annual operating and capital budget with management input
• Effective business partner across functional areas to drive business results
• Supervision of payroll
• Maintain integrity of accounting systems including the administration and maintenance of all
  accounting systems and processes
• Maintains confidentiality pertaining to all aspects of team member and company matters
• Ability to problem solve and make sound recommendations pertaining to organization effectiveness
• Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports
  potentially unsafe conditions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in accounting - Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience preferred
  Experience in a supervisory accounting role
  ERP systems experience or a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs
  Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes
  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite-especially Excel (Advanced spreadsheets, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills
  Travel 25% required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Stand, walk, or sit for up to an eight-hour shift; ascend and push, and pull up to 20 lbs.; bend, twist and reach to stack boxes, and file.
