Arkansas Lighting is Hiring a Customer Service Specialist Near Van, AR

Arkansas Lighting is a fast-growing, family-owned business based in Van Buren, Arkansas. We sell decorative indoor lighting to hospitality, commercial, and government buyers. We are hiring Customer Service Representatives to support our North American customers and sales reps. You will be asked to process orders, answer product questions, provide order status and assist with complaints across several communication channels. To do well in this role you need to be able to remain calm and friendly in a busy environment when customers are frustrated and have tight deadlines.

Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers at all times.
  • Responding promptly to a high volume of customer inquiries.
  • Communicating with customers through various channels.
  • Knowing and Maintaining a strong knowledge of all services and products that Arkansas Lighting offers so that you become a product expert and are able to provide excellent problem-solving skills while still assisting customers with routine questions and day-to-day tasks.
  • Acknowledging and Resolving Customer Complaints in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Processing orders, forms, applications, and quote requests, while being detail-oriented in comparing new product specs against the customer’s request.
  • Project Management – You will maintain and follow up on order statuses and be the liaison between the customer and multiple departments internally, while still maintaining the average day-to-day requests that filter in outside of those projects.
  • Keeping an accurate record of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and concerns.
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary across several different departments.
  • Providing feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.

Customer Service Specialist Requirements:

  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to stay calm and still demonstrate excellent customer service and problem-solving skills when customers are stressed or upset.
  • The Ability to remain detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Experience working with customer support.
  • Willing to travel 1-2 times per year to support our trade shows and sales reps in the field.
  • Be able to work Monday thru Thursday 10 hour Shifts from 6am to 5pm with rotating on call Fridays, and Saturday and Sunday off. During peak season there could be mandatory overtime for Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
