Arkansas Talent Group is Hiring an Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant Near Little Rock, AR
Arkansas Talent Group is working with a Family Office/Private Equity Group in Little Rock to find an Accounting Manager for their organization. This is a newly created position due to growth that will report directly to the Controller. The Family Office has a diversified portfolio of manufacturing companies across the country. Accounting Manager will have a wide variety of tasks across the organization to assist and mainstream multiple companies in the portfolio. Main duties for the position will be managing and overseeing multiple aspects of the accounting department including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month End Close, and preparing financial statements. Duties would include:
Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
Assist with all month-end accounting close processes include month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close requirements.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and company policies and procedures
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness
Coordinate and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and analyzing financial reports and statements
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve operational efficiency and ensure data integrity
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline accounting operations
Provide training and development opportunities for the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field
7-10 years experience with Progressive Accounting experience, Manufacturing is a plus
2 years of experience in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge and experience around AP, AR, general ledger maintenance, month end close procedures, and financial statement preparation
NetSuite experience is a plus
Experience with ERP systems and financial software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
