Position Summary: This position includes healthsciences instruction of career and technical education students enrolledthrough Arkansas Tech Career Center (ATCC) and housed at the ATCC Paris SatelliteCampus.The position is primarilyface-to-face instruction, but may include some online instruction asneeded.This position reports directlyto the ATCC Director. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: The Health Science instructorprovides quality classroom and lab instruction; oversees clinical assignmentsas needed; provides student advisement; provided supervision and management ofstudents, works collegially with ATCC and ATU Ozark personnel; attends meetingsand fulfills all duties as assigned in a professional and timely manner;attends professional development; participates in curriculum development,program planning, assessment, student evaluation; assists in the recruitmentand retention of students; communicates with representatives in the field, andperforms other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, andAbilities: Working knowledge of healthcareindustry CPR Knowledge of Career &Technical Education Ability to instruct studentstoward specific outcomes-based education Strong interpersonal skills withdiverse populations Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills Ability to work effectivelyindependently and on a team Enjoy working with and relatingto high school students Skilled in classroom management Willingness to learn and applybest practices in instruction and assessment Willingness to work with otherstoward continuous improvement Organized record keeper Strong math skills Proficient in the use ofinstructional technology Responsive to giving andreceiving constructive feedback Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse at theAssociate Degree level Hold a current, unencumberedlicense to practice (PN) in Arkansas Have at least 2 years' experiencein the health care field; Have at least 1 years' experiencein long-term care within the past 5 years. Commitment to obtain CPRInstructor Certification within first semester of employment. Preferred Qualifications: CPR Instructor Certification Have a current RN certificationat the Bachelor's level Hold a current, unencumberedlicense to practice nursing (RN) in Arkansas Have a least 3 years ofexperience working as a nurse with at least one year's experience in long-termcare within the past 5 years. Work Location, Environment,and Physical Demands: This position is located atArkansas Tech Career Center at the Paris Satellite on the Paris School DistrictCampus in Paris, Arkansas. Must be able to stand for longperiods, and lift 25 pounds occasionally.
