The Arlo Hardware team is seeking an Image Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in testing cameras, tuning Image Quality, working with 3^rd parties to improve IQ. They They are self-starter, resourceful, able to problem solve independently or collaboratively with others. They are passionate about hardware products and in addition, they will be involved on a part-time basis in other product aspects such as audio. 

Responsibilities include: 

·Hands on IQ testing of Arlo products:

oLab testing, creating test reports

oField testing, reporting issues and bugs

oWork with 3^rd parties such as Image Processor and Image Sensor vendors to improve both lab and field performance, solve issues

oWork with internal Arlo teams such as Optics and Firmware to solve issues

Hands on Audio testing of Arlo products: 

oLab audio testing using Audio test equipment and Python scripting, create test reports for Audio Manager

oModify Python scripts as needed.

·Depending on project loading and timing, tasks can involve other aspects of product testing.

Desired Qualifications:

·At least 5 years of Product Image Quality testing experience on R&D side. Consumer product experience strongly desired.

·Experience working with 3^rd parties such as ISP vendors, sensor vendors, ODMs to tune image quality.

·Familiarity with signal and image processing technologies, such as de-noising, sharpening, tone mapping, etc. ISP algorithms and designs, auto-white balance, auto-exposure, and auto-focus algorithms. Image quality evaluation tools (e.g. IMATEST), usage of camera tuning equipment.

·Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related, preferred

·Proficient with Python scripting

·Proficient with bug reporting tools such as Jira or similar

·Experience with testing audio products in lab environment.

·Proficient at data reporting, document writing, technical analysis

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $85,300 - $134,000/year, plus equity. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits.
