Add your talent to ours and make a difference around the world!The IT Support Technician will assist our employees on site, both in offices and on production lines, with IT-related issues, incidents, and service requests for our sites in the USA. Using the ITSM/ticketing system, the IT Support Technician will relay our Global Service Desk team, assisting users with topics related to PCs, hardware, printers, Networks, telecommunication, and other various topics to the users on site.
The IT Support Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. The IT Support Technician must also be customer-oriented and patient with users of all skill levels. They must be able to troubleshoot technical user problems and collaborate effectively with team members.
This is an onsite position located in Chapel Hill, NC, supporting various sites. Limited travel will be required in the US.
Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor and follow up on your queues of tickets in the system (Halo)
  • Record/Document all interactions and actions related to each ticket.
  • Determine and troubleshoot issues with laptops, desktops, hardware, Printers, networks, telephony, video conferencing, and other local systems.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications not included in global management and effectively troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Categorize, prioritize, and allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support members or expert Teams utilizing the ticketing system.
  • Manage and oversee the distribution and maintenance of mobile phones for our employees, collaborating with the vendor to ensure timely provisioning and troubleshooting of mobile devices.
  • Review and negotiate mobile phone contracts to optimize cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Be responsible for ordering local hardware needs not covered in the global IT catalog.
  • Create and manage Purchase Requisitions for IT.
  • Follow standard service desk operating procedures.
  • Contribute to technical and application documentation to improve the technical procedures and knowledge database, particularly troubleshooting knowledge items.
  • Backup 1st level support team members when necessary
  • Relay and/or clarify information both ways between users and IT teams when needed.
Job Qualifications And Requirements
  • Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science required.
  • 2 years of work experience in IT Infrastructure / Technical Support/ First Level / Help Desk.
  • Microsoft operating systems experience and MS Office 365.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Basic network and telecommunication experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Strong focus on objectives and user satisfaction.
  • Pro-active and collaboration style.
  • Team player with excellent organizational skills. Self-organized.

The expected compensation range for this role is $65,000.00 -$80,000.00.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
