**Description**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Transportation Operations

Proactively monitor e-mail traffic and TMS to ensure network activity is managed effectively

Address rebuttals from carriers regarding denied claims and short paid invoices

Utilize 24tracc to monitor carrier claim accuracy and the fluctuation of accessorial costs

Utilize TMS reports to identify invoice discrepancies caused by TMS errors, the accessorial team and the freight operations group

Identify and act on potential problem areas

Provide guidance as necessary on issue resolution

Coordinate resolution of carrier, supplier and DC issues regarding accessorial claims

Train and Mentor SCCs within region.

Act as primary management source in the absence of the Regional Manager.

* Develop and maintain proper communication within the network.

Escalate operational and performance issues as required to ensure desired service results are achieved.

Bring attention to regional manager any issues along with possible solutions the SCC has to offer that may improve carrier, and shipping and receiving location service levels.

Assist and support the development and implementation of corrective action plans as required.

Participate in weekly carrier service calls as necessary

Attend morning Operations Call in the absence of your manager to brief any issues form previous day.

* Other related duties as assigned.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**

* May have direct supervisory responsibilities, and provide support to Manager/Assistant Manager on the following:

Provide input for mid-year and year-end performance reviews for SCCs. Help to recommend individual performance goals for each SCC and work with SCCs to develop yearly IDPs.

Identify critical items and delegate pro-active monitoring to SCCs.

Ensure proper follow-up of aging and high dollar accessorial claims.

Maintain PTO Calendar.

**QUALIFICATIONS** (include education, certifications/licenses, experience, language, mathematical, computer, level of reasoning, physical demands and preferences (a plus) :

**Education and Experience Requirement**

Minimum:

* 2-5 years of experience in transportation operations experience preferred

Preferred:

* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management

Experience:

* Experience with temp controlled and dry truckload transportation.

* Supervisory skills.

**Language and Technical Skills Requirement**

* Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & Access, TMS applications

* Ability to interface with other functional areas including carrier management.

* Thorough understanding of surface transportation management terms and concepts

* Proven analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
