Armor Equipment is a full-service distributor and maintenance center for private and municipal refuse and street sweeper customers. Originally located in St. Louis in 1970, Armor distributes a full line of new and used equipment, including Heil refuse trucks, Tymco street sweepers, Sewer Equipment Trucks and Trailer Jetters, ODB Xtreme Vac trash / debris & leaf collection units, containers and compactors. The parts department is stocked with new OEM and aftermarket parts for all types of vehicles!

As a Parts Clerk with Armor Equipment, you will provide parts support for the Branch.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone, research parts, and process orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the parts department.
  • Manage parts inventory.
  • Account for department profit and loss.
  • Monitor and communicate order status to customer, including all backorders.
  • Communicate with branch and factory to expedite orders when necessary.
  • Resolve any customer issues, problems, or complaints to satisfy the customer.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ordering from vendors and invoicing to customers.
  • Support and assist the Service Department, Territory Managers, and Sales Manager.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for offsite parts inventory consignment.
  • Place orders with branch and other outside chosen vendors.
  • Process, file, and maintain invoices and bills of lading for incoming parts.
  • Runs and operates forklift on a regular basis.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Great interpersonal skills – at all times display honestly, ethics, and integrity.
  • Be self-managed and self-motivated.
  • Ability to cope with pressure, multiple projects, and frequent interruptions.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
  • Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation.

Working Conditions: Hours will be 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday plus overtime as required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
