Army Barracks West Springfield is looking to hire a part time position Hours are 10-6 everyday

Shifts are typically 10-6 or 12-6 At least one weekend shift is required

We are an Army/Navy retail store open to the public specializing in military surplus items, airsoft guns and accessories, and tactical gear. We offer a wide variety including men's, women’s and children’s clothing, headwear, boots, gloves, camping gear and supplies, backpacks, knives, swords and many other unique novelty items.

We are passionate about creating a memorable shopping experience that customers will want to return and share their experience.

Responsibilities and Duties -including but not limited to;

• Cheerfully welcome and engage with customers as they enter the store. Assess and adapt to the needs of each customer. Make recommendations that may surprise the customer with demonstrations when appropriate. Use good judgment in handling unusual requests or difficult customer interactions.
• Pleasantly answering phone calls and emails
• Use a cash register/POS system
• Supporting your team by helping to receive, sort and stock products and take pride in maintaining a pleasant environment for all.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with other staff members to complete daily tasks

Qualifications and Skills

• Knack for interacting with people and interested in learning about new products and eager to share that info with your customers.
• Previous sales/retail/customer service experience is great but we are willing to train the right person.
• Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and holidays.
• Over the age of 18 and be able to stand, lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs., and on occasion climb ladders. Various weaponry/blades/airsoft guns are a part of our inventory, so you must feel comfortable handling and discussing the above mentioned items.
