IMPORT & EXPORT COORDINATOR SUPERVISOR

OVERVIEW:

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the end-to-end importation/exportation of international shipments and supervising a team. This position is not clerical. The Import/Export Supervisor will take ownership of client accounts, ensure work is completed on a daily basis, and be accountable for the compliance and accuracy of transactions under his/her responsibility.
The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate all Import/Export making sure that the information declared on the northbound and southbound invoices matches with the loaded material, is properly classified and proper labels (NOM's) are attached if applicable. Coordinate with US/MX brokers, shipping and receiving, closely monitor the duty impact, review and authorize "pedimentos" generated by the MX Broker and coordinate payment with accounting. Their main duty is to ensure that the shipment adheres to customs rules and regulations including NOM's and all certifications required.

KEY Responsibilities:

  • Northbound, Southbound and Virtual operation
  • Fixed assets pediment control
  • US/MX Brokers coordination
  • Perform all record keeping processes and maintain records of all entries.
  • Perform audit on all import and export files on regular basis.
  • Review and authorize pedimentos
  • Review all merchandise adheres to customs rules and regulations and all merchandise is properly labeled (NOM's) if applicable.
  • Knowledge in Darwin system (Pedimento Verification)
  • Knowledge in inventory control

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications

  • DEGREE IN FOREIGN TRADE AND CUSTOMS OR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

Experience

  • Min 2 años experiencia en agencia aduanal
  • Desired experience in some annex system 24 Ixport, ZOE; Intrade; Millenium; MMEX, PROSEC, Annex 22, Darwin
  • Product classification is a plus
  • Import/Export knowledgeable
  • Knowledge in customs operations, Rules and Regulations
  • Knowledge with virtual operation
  • Review and close "Pedimentos"
  • NOM's
  • Knowledge in warehouse inventory systems

  • Windows office / Google Workspace
