Arrow Aviation is Hiring a Rotor Blade Technician / Sheet Metal Technician Near Broussard, LA
Job DescriptionThe Rotor Blade Technician performs maintenance of rotor blades and associated blade parts, to include applying finish coatings on rotor blades. Duties And Responsibilities
Read and interpret maintenance manuals or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task
Inspect composite helicopter blades for damage to include cracks, voids and de-bonds
Replaces or repairs damaged or worn composite rotor blade structure or blade parts using general hand tools or pneumatic tools and equipment
Applies composite rotor blade finish coatings to include paints and sealants utilizing general hand tools and pneumatic finishing equipment
Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records
Maintains work areas and tools in a clean and organized manner, practices proper tool and FOD control
Performs work safely and utilizes the appropriate technical data for the assigned task
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior experience in helicopter blade or sheet metal experience preferred
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as assigned dependent on production needs
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels both internal and external to the company
