Artisan Talent is Hiring a Social Media & Communications Coordinator Near Greenwood, IN

Are you an experienced social media and communications coordinator based in the Indianapolis area? Our client is seeking an organized and disciplined Social Media & Communications Coordinator to join their team in Greenfield, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, publishing, and monitoring organic and paid content across various social media and email platforms. This role is a key contributor to our client’s growth and outreach objectives by maintaining brand integrity, increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, educating the public, and enhancing audience engagement. The ability to work collaboratively with our team, industry stakeholders, and other internal and external teams is critical to this role. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including limited travel and availability outside of normal working hours, including weekends.

Portfolio Note: In order to be considered, candidates must have previous professional experience developing and maintaining social media platforms, website content, and email newsletters/campaigns.

You Will:

  • Develop a monthly communications plan with the Director of Education and Outreach
  • Create content for all social media channels including static and video, utilizing client branding elements and style guide
  • Conduct research to stay up-to-date with social media trends and audience preferences
  • Coordinate social media content calendar with attention to organizational, seasonal, and industry needs and trends in collaboration with the Education and Outreach team
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns to drive traffic and engagement
  • Design graphics using Canva for internal and external use
  • Respond to social media inquiries within established timeframes following organization’s marketing guidelines and navigate sensitive topics effectively
  • Create and edit email campaigns with collaboration of staff on Mail Chimp and Higher Logic platform
  • Proofread and edit content before publishing to ensure quality and consistency
  • Utilize video editing skills to create visual content for platforms
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Education and Outreach teams to ensure messaging is consistent across all communications channels
  • Review analytics and create base reports on key metrics
  • Use marketing tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Assist with updating website as needed
  • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns for sponsored events and promotional material
  • Provide creative input in marketing campaign material in partnership with Education and Outreach Director and client’s marketing firm
  • Assist and provide support in Education and Outreach projects as needed
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and completion of the annual conference
  • Collaborate with staff and foster cross-functional internal and external relationships to support and expand initiatives and programs

You Have:

  • Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in graphic design and creating visually compelling content using Canva
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to write and edit communications pieces (press releases, newsletters, print articles and/or other similar content) using AP Style
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel within the state as needed is required
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and outreach strategies required
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Previous experience with developing and maintaining social media platforms, website content, and email newsletters/campaigns
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Previous experience using artificial intelligence (AI) for content creation a plus

  • Start Date: ASAP
