Landscape Construction Foreman

Artistic Grounds is growing and we are seeking additional energetic Construction Foreman to lead crews on our construction jobs. This is an "in the field" position. Here at Artistic Grounds we are a full service landscape company and offer comprehensive custom landscape packages to a variety of clients. Our many long-term clients value our expertise, prompt communication and attention to detail.

We are looking for candidates with strong skills in the following areas:

• Hardscape Installation

• Planting and softscapes

• Machine work and grading

• Outdoor lighting

• Irrigation system installation

• Pool/Water feature installation 

• Outdoor Kitchens

• Firepits

• Gas, electrical, and plumbing knowledge

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and direct the activities of the construction crew, ensuring all team members are performing their tasks efficiently and safely.

• Plan and organize the daily workload, coordinating necessary resources and materials to meet timelines.

• Interpret and implement construction plans and drawings, ensuring specifications are followed accurately.

• Carry out quality control tasks, inspecting work at various stages to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.

• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and management to provide updates and resolve issues.

• Ensure safety protocols are always followed, promoting a clean job site.

• Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages continuous improvement.

• Assist in the estimation of job costs, preparation of quotes, and management of project budgets.

• Actively problem-solve and troubleshoot project-related issues.

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years of landscape construction experience (preferred) 

• Proven experience as a Team Leader or supervisor, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• Must have a valid Driver License, DOT required by first day of employment.

• Hoisting License encouraged but not required.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications. 

• Highly motivated, self-driven, and detail-oriented.

• Must be professional in appearance and actions. 

• Great time management skills.

• Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude. 

• Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels.

Physical Requirements

This job is physically demanding. It requires lifting heavy objects, standing, kneeling or bending for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.

Position: Full-time 

Pay: $25.00 - $50/hr.
