Job Title: Medical Staff Practitioner Location: Remote (Preference for candidates in Central or Eastern Time zones) Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday) Contract Duration: Through December 31, 2024 Start Date: ASAP Temp to Hire: Potentially, depending on residency in one of the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming. Position Overview: The Medical Staff Practitioner will be responsible for conducting Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE) for one designated site. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with Joint Commission accreditation standards and maintaining the quality and safety of healthcare services. The ideal candidate will bring experience from credentialing, nursing, or quality departments, with a background in system-level evaluations. Key Responsibilities
Perform OPPE and FPPE at a system level, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission accreditation standards.
Collaborate with the quality department to monitor and track professional practice evaluations.
Utilize tracking tools, such as Vizient (preferred but not required), to manage evaluation processes.
Report and document findings, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Maintain regular communication with relevant departments to ensure consistent and effective evaluation practices.
Occasionally report to the facility if within proximity.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE/FPPE) at a system level.
Background in credentialing, nursing, or quality departments.
Strong understanding of Joint Commission accreditation standards.
Experience with tracking tools like Vizient is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and manage evaluation processes for a single site.
Must reside in one of the approved states listed above.
